POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk – Accounts Receivable

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

LOCATION: In office (Cincinnati, OH 45241)

Position Summary:The role of the accounting clerk is to support the daily accounts receivable activities of Eco Engineering. Experience working in an accounting organization with accounting software and strong excel spreadsheet skills are required. The ability to work well with Project Managers, Sales Personnel, Customers, and Vendors is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

Daily accounts receivable responsibilities, which includes:

  • Preparation or acquisition of supporting documents to send to the customer: AIA documents, lien releases, commissioning reports, closeout documents, prevailing wage reports, etc.
  • Work with Project Managers to verify invoices sent are 100% accurate and complete.
  • Determine the proper tax amount to be shown on the invoices.
  • Involve Senior Management when customers are not paying invoice per the contract terms.
  • Prepare electronic invoices on customer’s portals or websites (when required) and verify the amount entered on customer site matches invoice prepared.
  • Enter deposits in accounting software.
  • Follow up on delinquent invoices.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least five years of accounting related experience.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and efficient mindset.
  • Familiarity with working independently yet following prescribed processes.
  • Experience with ComputerEase software a plus.
