Sustained growth in the municipal, state, federal, K-12 and university market segments prompts new affiliation with national trade association
(May 3, 2017 Cincinnati, Ohio) – Eco Engineering, the largest independent design and build engineering firm in the US energy efficient lighting industry, announced today that it has joined the National Association of Energy Services Companies (NAESCO). Rhonda Courtney, Eco Engineering’s Director of ESCO Business Development, will continue as Chairperson of the Affiliate Advisory Committee for NAESCO.
In recent years Eco Engineering has experienced sustained growth supporting national and regional Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) while becoming a preferred provider of lighting design and implementation services for large scale Energy Savings Performance Contracts. Through these ESCO partnerships, the company has been engaged in energy efficient lighting projects for the municipal, state, federal, K-12 and university market segments.
NAESCO, the country’s foremost leading energy efficiency organization, serves as the voice of the ESCO industry, supporting the efforts of its members through national and regional advocacy efforts. The association has been a key catalyst in creating, among federal and state lawmakers, regulators and energy program managers, a continuing commitment to developing and implementing energy efficient solutions for over 30 years. The NAESCO Affiliate Advisory Committee was created to drive critical support to all affiliate members and enhance educational efforts around evolving new energy efficient technologies, financing and development of comprehensive efficiency projects.
“Eco Engineering is honored and well positioned as a national lighting design build firm to support NAESCO and their members in promoting the development and implementation of energy efficiency solutions within the industry,” said Ms. Courtney. A veteran of the ESCO marketplace with strong expertise in the new technologies which characterize today’s lighting design and advanced lighting controls marketplace, Ms. Courtney has served as Chair of the Affiliate Advisory Committee since 2015.
Eco Engineering has been advancing innovative energy efficiency concepts in the lighting sector for the past several years. Its services allow ESCO companies to concentrate on the larger elements of ESPC projects while Eco Engineering manages design and implementation of lighting system upgrades. Maximizing savings from the lighting portion of the project often helps the ESCO achieve the overall performance guarantees needed in the public sector.
Eco Engineering provides energy efficient lighting upgrade services to both Fortune 1000 firms and large ESCOs. The company has a distinctive profile in that they are an engineering and design firm which comprehensively audits the existing lighting infrastructure of major facilities to optimize the savings potential from upgraded lighting systems, controls and related technologies. Eco Engineering also provides turn-key execution services and performs all project implementation; build out of the new design and EPA compliant disposal services. In addition, the firm helps clients qualify for any federal, state or local utility incentives to reduce project expense and boost return-on-investment.
In addition to managing multi-site programs for its clients, Eco Engineering completed over 450 large projects in 48 states in 2016 involving office buildings, industrial facilities, schools, hospitals, hotels, retail stores, and distribution centers. The combined impact of these projects for customers was a reduction of 100 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year and more than $10 million in annual energy savings. The company has been growing rapidly in recent years and expects continued double-digit growth as organizations recognize the importance of sustainability while reducing operating expenses.
