POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Recruiting, Training, & Office Manager
REPORTS TO: Director, Human Resources & Installation
Position Summary: The Recruiting, Training and Office (RT&O) Manager is responsible for overseeing a Company organizational strategy that focuses on attracting and retaining high quality candidates and a diverse workforce. The RT&O Manager is responsible for creating and implementing training programs across all Departments, including all levels of the Company. The RT&O Manager will provide support for the Director of HR in other HR work process areas as time permits, including the annual performance review process, compensation, benefits and Strategy Development and Deployment.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Recruiting Function –Work in conjunction with the leadership team to recruit and hire best candidates for the Company, which includes:
• Determine best method to attract and retain both intern ad full time employees
• Responsible for reviewing resumes, conducting initial interviews, testing, screening, performing reference and background checks, and referring applicants for positions throughout the Company
• Update web site with current job posting information
• Maintain network of sources for candidates, and work with schools, public organizations, and other agencies to identify and recruit applicants and external recruiters, where applicable
• Conduct on-campus recruiting, where applicable knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment
• Confer with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
• Coordinate communication with applicants to include interview scheduling, travel coordination, preparation of employment offers for employees, and compilation of new hire packets
• Develop training for Company Leadership involved in the recruiting process
2. New Hire Orientation and Training, which includes:
• Establish and administer checklists for new employment, transfers, and terminations to ensure satisfactory completion according to Company processes
• Prepare onboarding training program for all new hires
• Recommend Company training topics, and assign new hire’s immediate manager, or other qualified trainer, responsibility for specific functional onboarding modules
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current new hire onboarding and ongoing training programs to determine if changes are needed
• Manage process for updating new hire onboarding guides as appropriate
3. Ongoing Evaluation and Training
• Collaborate with department leadership to assess the knowledge and skill needs of existing employees. Continually research and deploy specific training programs to meet these needs
• Ensure every Department has a current 12-week functional training program for new hires and transfers
• Work with employees in the field to evaluate the effectiveness of current training and
development programs
• Develop and implement Eco Engineering University training platform designed for skill development, product/industry knowledge, and educational support for new and current employees
• Plan, monitor and evaluate Friday at Noon Company training program
• Prepare and conduct Company surveys as needed
4. Intern Program – Develop and lead a Company intern and/or Leadership Development Program to include intern and new hire recruiting and training efforts.
5. Mentoring Program
• Develop and lead a Company mentoring program including assigning mentors for all new hires
6. Affirmative Action Program
• Build a Company-wide affirmative action strategy, including focus on attracting veterans, in addition to an implementation plan and reporting process
7. Responsible for BWC Group Rating Program, including compliance and training of organization
• Safety Council
• Attend meetings as an alternate or identify person to attend
• Advise Leadership of compliance training required, and schedule accordingly
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace Program
8. Office Management
• Develop and organize office procedures and systems
• Manage office MRO vendors (i.e., cleaning, mechanical, landlord, fire marshal, etc.)
• Negotiate and order office supplies, services, and equipment
• Ensure all certified/license holders maintain certification by tracking renewal requirements (CLEP, LC, PE, Electrician, etc.)
• Maintain Employee Handbook and Standard Procedures Manuals
9. Develop and Enforce File Retention, Shredding and Security Policy
• Send internal quarterly retention, shredding and security reminders
